[The Missing 3] TEDx

So let's talk about TEDx.

TEDx (x = independently organized event) is being held in our school! Our school! That is, TEDx Youth @ HSEFZ. I'm super excited!

Preparation

As a member of student's TV studio, I was invited to take part in the camera work. I agreed with no hesitation. But that was in June. We did a little preparation before 2 July and only on the day of the event did I realize that

PREPARATION WORK WILL OCCUPY MY AFTERNOON!!
MY AFTERNOON!!
AFTERNOON!!

Oh my gosh how could I miss one class out of five? THAT'S 20%! No way.

But I eventually asked for a leave, together with another tenth-grade schoolmate. A bit sad :(

It revealed to me that there's actually nothing very urgent to do, so I helped to stick some wires to the ground, watched rehearsals to get a general idea, did some trivial work and wrote homework... Well I shouldn't have asked a leave.

Uh... let's face this.

(Preparation and rehearsal.)

First half

When I came to camera #2 where I was assigned, two schoolmates of the same grade asked, "Are you a newcomer?" I said yes, and something strange happened we talked for a little while and... finally the homework in my hand revealed my real identity. = =

I was not on duty during the first half. I just watched the speakers speak and found some topics really interesting, like Yu Chengjie's "What if there are no if's", and some are exciting like "I'm not straight", that's about homosexuality... uh seems that this is normal according to scientific research?

(The first half. Co-founder of Remix talking involving programmers... lol)

Break

Nothing significant to say... The snacks are great! :)

Second half

This is when I took control over the camera! I tried my best to catch the right angles and distance and... I don't know what happened. Seems the team of the TV studio is all doing a great job.

We had an after-party. That was fun! And I grabbed the chance to walk into the broadcasting studio! (I was usually too lazy or not curious enough to walk inside but I suddenly felt a wave of curiosity... Who knows why.)

(The broadcasting studio!)

All in all, this experience is fun! But why can't TV workers receive volunteer certification? (uh I didn't take a photo of those? - - I remember doing so...?)

(That's unfair! lol)

This is an interesting, unforgettable and fulfilling experience!

And E-E-E-Exciting!
